ABSTRACT

Professor believes that infantile cerebral palsy is located in the brain and closely related to the kidney. The clinical treatment should focus on the brain theory and root at the kidney. In pathogenesis, infantile spastic cerebral palsy refers to flaccidity of and spasticity of . The principle of treatment should be balancing and , promoting the circulation of the governor vessel and regulating the spirit/mind. In clinical treatment, the comprehensive therapy of acupuncture and herbal medicine is adopted. In acupuncture, the acupoints on the head and the face are dominant and the body acupoints are selected rigorously and precisely. The herbal formula with and is used and taken orally with warm water. In acupoint application treatment, and are the main herbal medicines for the external application at Shenque (CV 8) and Baihui (GV 20). All of the above therapies are used in combination to co-achieve the effect of regaining consciousness, opening orifices and benefiting the intelligence. The clinical therapeutic effect of this comprehensive therapy is significant.

ABSTRACT

Cerebrolysin is an aqueous mixture of amino acids extracted from porcine brain, and mainly composed of 85% free amino acids and 15%small peptides. Cerebrolysin increase the metabolism of amino acids and glucose transport in the brain, improve the anti-anoxia ability of cells, and to enhance the brain's resistance to various types of malignant stimulation like stress and damage. Cerebrolysin can also promote synapse formation, induce neuronal differentiation, and help reverse brain injury. Because of its efficacy and safety, cerebrolysin has been widely used in the pediatric clinical practice, and primarily to treat neonatal hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy, childcerebral palsy, hyperactivity disorder, speech communication disorders, etc.The clinical symptoms were improved to some extent after the treatment of cerebrolysin. The recovery of consciousness, enhancement of comprehensionand memory, and improvement of the extremity motor function were observed. The treatment of cerebrolysincan not only enhance the cure rate, but also reduce the incidence of sequelae. This paper systematically summarized the clinical application of cerebrolysin in the pediatric population and relevant preclinical studies, to provide more guidance for clinical application of cerebrolysin in the treatment of pediatric diseases.

ABSTRACT

Crouch gait is one of the most frequent alterations in patients with cerebral palsy, and although it is easily recognizable, has not been clearly defined. In it, the knee lacks a dynamic extension during the stance phase, the ankle can be found in plantar flexion, dorsal or neutral, and hips are usually bent and often in internal rotation and adduction. This is a prospective study conducted at the Children's Orthopedic Hospital, using data obtained from the department of medical and gait laboratory, which we have used the new classification Schwartz Michaels kinematics, Director of Bioengineering, Laboratory of Analysis of the March of Gillette Children's Hospital, Saint Paul, Minnesota, for subjects with excessive knee flexion initial contact. Thus obtained five subtypes kinematic crouched running, according to data obtained in the sagittal plane and at the same time let us know at what level are the main changes of the patients, thereby providing a guide help us in deciding the treatment to be applied at the same time allows us to perform a post-surgical evaluation
